Daniel Vorhees Harper, 75, for many years a resident of the Waynetown vicinity died at 11:20 o’clock Thursday forenoon at the Pythian home here following a cerebral hemorrhage Sunday night. The funeral will be held at Waynetown, the time yet to be arranged with interment in the Masonic cemetery there. Mr. Vorhees (sic) was born in Fountain County in June 1857 and was a farmer near Waynetown many years. He was a member of the Waynetown K of P and IOOF Lodges. In Dec. 1927, he entered the Pythian Home here as one of its first members. Surviving are a granddaughter, Mrs. George R. Douglas of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Fred McBroom of Pine Village was a niece.
